This career reference book removes the mysticism and relieves the anxiety that surrounds the interview process to enable the effective selling of oneself. The discussion,
unique exercises and techniques, as well as vignettes and resources guide the reader through the process of self-discovery and confidence-building and then on to using
the knowledge to create a stellar interview presentation. Information found on the Why Shouldn't We Hire You? is copyrighted under US law and is owned by the authors

Why Shouldn’t We Hire You
D. Endress & R. Venckus

Review by Robert Torres, Director of Public Works, City of Cocoa Beach

Why Shouldn’t We Hire You by authors David R. Endress and Ronald B. Venckus is
a complete Do-It-Yourself manual for anyone desiring to learn and apply step-by-
step techniques for preparing and presenting a successful interview.

Why Shouldn’t We Hire You presents Do’s and Don’ts for becoming a successful
interviewee – Do prepare, build rapport, analyze self and company; Don’t
memorize questions that may be asked, Don’t discuss negative aspects of past
employment.  Two very experienced authors provide expert advice and guidance
in this book.  The book is divided into two parts; Part One lays out the
foundation while Part Two: Coaches Corner provides tips and advice on
interviewing.  I found Part Two to be especially helpful, providing knowledge and
direction by the authors through practical experience gained over many years of
working in industry.

The application of the instructions contained in Why Shouldn’t We Hire You will
enable anyone seeking a position to approach the interview with confidence.
Ultimately, with the knowledge gained from this book, the successful interviews
that follow will lead to offers which will result in a good fit, not only for the
interviewee, but also for the company.
