David Endress and Ron Venckus have used their extensive knowledge and
experience in human resources and career counseling to write a very readable,
easy-to-use and helpful book on job interview preparation and behaviors.

Why Shouldn’t We Hire You is well-organized, taking the reader from initial
preparation for the interview, through tips on negotiating salaries.  Each chapter
ends with a “Thoughts to Hold” box, summarizing three to four key messages.

The book is divided into two parts.  Part One focuses on preparation and
execution of the interview itself.  This section also provides a concise
description of the goals  and purposes of different types of interviews.  The key
to a successful interview is preparation, and Part One gives excellent advice on
how to identify and then discuss one’s talents and skills during the interview.
Part Two, the Coaches Corner, lists resources, helpful suggestions, and exercises,
including sample interview questions.

Why Should We Hire You is an enjoyable read that all job seekers can benefit
from, as well as a good reference book to keep on the shelf during one’s entire
career.  The savvy reader will keep this book close at hand, to refresh his list of
accomplishments and skills throughout his career, and to use when preparing for
promotion opportunities within his own company.
