David Endress earned a BSc in Business administration (Youngstown State), and
holds certification in human resources (Princeton and Penn State). He has 30+ years
experience as personnel executive and career coach with Fortune 500
organizations, lectured on organization change at the University of Hartford,
authored many human resource studies and has been the recipient for a variety of
corporate awards for his contributions and support of corporate goals. David has
been a guest speaker on Fox 10 TV and on CNN’s morning show, contributed to
newspaper career articles and hosted a drive-time call-in radio program for a Boston
radio station.
As a business owner, consultant and personnel director, David has “walked the
talk.” His experiences have allowed him to interface, at all levels of an orgazation,
and deal with successes or issues associated with the management of personnel.
David has been involved in all aspects of the interview: as a candidate himself,
while coaching individuals, and as an executive recruiter where had to match a
company's needs with the “right” candidate who also had specific needs.
David's extensive experiences in the hiring and/or firing of personnel gives him a
total perspective to write this book.
Ronald B. Venckus has a BA in management and psychology (Michigan State
University) and holds certification in executive financial management (University
of Washington). He has a wide range of industry experience: 24 years at the
director level of human resources in the hospitality, engineering and banking
industries. Venckus’ extensive experience was the perfect fit with outplacement
firms and he was with Drake Bean & Morin for 13 years.
Although “retired” he currently provides senior executive interview coaching at
Stewart Cooper & Coon, a career transition firm in Phoenix. Ronald also writes the
lead column for the popular on-line bi-weekly newsletter: The Gladiator.
Venckus’ wide scope of industry knowledge as well as personnel experience helps
set Why Shouldn’t We Hire You? off from the other interview book offerings
available.
